Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance isn't arriving on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 until February 19, but publisher Konami is already pegging it as the "first blockbuster" of 2013.
“It’s the first blockbuster in terms of presentation, content, and gameplay,” said Brain Ayers, U.K. PR and marketing manager, according to MCV. “Legions of fans are keen to see how the collaboration between Kojima’s studio and Platinum Games work out.”
Electronic Arts' Dead Space 3 and Sega's Aliens: Colonial Marines are coming out days before, but Konami is confident despite them. Both are big releases, though, especially EA's.
We'll learn soon enough which ones gamers prefer, but Konami may be underestimating its competition.
