Take that picture in. Take it in for all it's worth. While the character of Rogue isn't open for casting in any movie, it was the only role I could even imagine her in — against my will — when I heard that she has interest in joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The popularity of Marvel, its characters and movies, are bringing in actors that you would have never imagined. The big stars are of course Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth, but Phase 2 is coming to an end with Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Phase 3 is opening the flood gates. Actors like Paul Rudd and Benedict Cumberbatch have been cast as Ant-Man and Doctor Strange, respectively.
It now appears that Kristen Stewart would like to get in on the action. While speaking with Yahoo! Movies, Stewart said that she wants to keep things unpredictable with her roles, and she "is always willing to take a chance." When they mentioned Marvel or DC blockbusters, she told them:
"I love watching those movies… I would love to show people that I can do more than just be 'Kristen Stewart' in a different movie, in a different circumstance […] I'm sure I could get on board with Captain America, you know what I mean?… It would just have to be the right thing."
Well seeing as how Captain America: Civil War might be the end of Cap if it stays true to the comics, that window might be closing. She did mention her role as Snow White in Snow White and the Huntsman, and how it could be a good place to start for a superhero role, but I still have a hard time picturing her as a Marvel character.
What do you think? Would you want to see Kristen Stewart in a Marvel movie? And if so, which character would she be best for?
