L.A. Noire’s Switch version made up 20% of game’s sales in U.K.

Impressive.

Rockstar shocked people earlier this year when they announced they were bringing their 2011 detective thriller L.A. Noire to Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. This caught people off guard for a number of reasons, some of which being the game wasn't super huge and they're actually making a game for Nintendo Switch!

We're still not completely sure why Rockstar took this route, possibly testing the waters for both a future franchise and more games on Nintendo Switch? Regardless, the game released about two weeks ago and seems to be selling decently at least in the U.K.. While no hard numbers were provided, the game took the eighth spot for best selling games in the United Kingdom in its first week with 20% of its sales coming from the Nintendo Switch version alone. The rest of the game's sales came from Xbox One which made up 28% and PS4 which made up 51%.

We'll have to wait for the NPD to come out in December to see how the game performed in America but one can only hope that it did well enough to warrent more Rockstar games on Nintendo Switch!

L.A. Noire is out now on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (without enhancements of the remaster) as well as last generation consoles. You can click here to view our review of the remaster which helps introduce a new generation to an underrated gem from one of the best publishers out there.
