Lab Zero releases Skull Girls 2nd Encore, announces new game

Jump from fighter to action RPG

If you're a fan of fighting games, or want a decent point at which to begin your foray into the Fighting Game Community, you could do far worse than Lab Zero's Skullgirls. It's a silky smooth, crowdfunded 2D fighter, a real passion project. At the time of its release, it wouldn't have been a stretch to call Skullgirls the best fighting game to be made in the West.

There's no better time then now to get in on the Skullgirls action either, as Lab Zero has just released Skullgirls 2nd Encore, which contains all previous DLC, comes as a cross-buy package, and has several new features:

  • Fully-voiced Story Mode
  • Challenges
  • Trials
  • Survival Mode
  • Full Platinum Trophy Set
  • Online Cross-Play (PS3, PS4, PSVita)
  • PlayStation 3 Peripheral Support

Eager to prove they're not one trick ponies or one hit wonders, the guys at Lab Zero have recently announced their next title: Indivisible. This time they try their hand at and  action RPG that they claim was inspired by Valkyrie Profile and Super Metroid. If those games sound like things you want more of in your life, then keep an eye out for the game's upcoming playable prototype and Indiegogo campaign.

Despite jumping to a new genre, you can expect their trademark visual style, along with an awesome soundtrack by Secret of Mana composer Hiroki Kikuta.
