Last chance to earn Destiny’s Year One Iron Banner emblems

With all of the attention on Year Two of Destiny, which begins with the release of The Taken King expansion in September, it's easy to forget there's still things happening in Year One. Like today is the first day of the August Iron Banner tournament — a week-long Crucible event in which gear and level advantage matters (auto balancing disabled). As usual, players can grind Iron Banner reputation throughout the week in order to unlock various Iron Banner gear.

While Bungie has confirmed that Lord Saladin and the Iron Banner will return in The Taken King, certain rewards he sells will not.

The August Iron Banner will run from today through next week's reset on September 1, 2015. The Taken King is set for release on September 15th.
