I won't hide the fact that I fanboy over Matthew Patrick's Game Theory. And despite not always agreeing with some of his theories, there's no denying that a lot of research goes into each and every episode. I mean, a staggering amount. In the latest episode, MatPat and company go over the Mario timeline, something that didnt' seemingly exist before, and actually connects all of the core Mario games together into one timeline that, more or less, makes sense.
The big shocker here is the ending, where he goes on to prove that Jumpman, which was supposedly Mario's first appearance in video gaming, is actually not the Super Mario we all know and love, but instead another Mario altogether. I won't ruin the surprise here, but it's pretty fantastic. Though I will say that the conclusion comes from figuring out a Gorilla's sexual maturity.
