League of Legends developer website gets a sleek redesign

Riot Games, the developer of League of Legends, has redesigned their company website to better reflect their game and personality — badass. If you've been to any gaming conventions like PAX then you probably know what I'm talking about. You know you want one of those sick Riot shirts with the fist punching through the letters and a cool nickname on the back. You can see that I'm quite jealous.

Anyway, Riot Games has a fresh, sleek website designed to "bring fans inside the world of Riot." The goal, according to Riot, is to give fans a "deep view into the company and culture creating the biggest online gaming phenomenon on the planet."

"We aspire to be the most player-focused game company in the world. We were established in 2006 by a couple of entrepreneurial gamers who believe player-focused game development can result in awesome games. In 2009, we released our debut title, League of Legends, to critical and player acclaim. Over 32 million play every month," the basic description reads.

"We know players form the foundation of our community and it’s for them that we continue to evolve and improve the League of Legends experience."

So what can players expect from this new website? For starters, you can read up about the Riot Manifesto which defines the company's driving principals in five simple points.

Fans can also read up the ever-changing game of League of Legends as Riot explains the new elements, such as the Honor feature, for players who might not visit the forums. It's an intimidating place, I know. It also details what its like to be a Rioter and why fistbumps, not handshakes are the preferred method of greeting. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with not catching the nerd flu by shaking hands at all of these conventions.

You can also find out more about employment at Riot Games, learn more about their "Thunder Dome" hackathon, the monthly "PlayFund" that finances staff game purchases, and more about the actual employees.
