League of Legends’ One For All mode returns with an added twist

All that Teemo hate.

Prepare for you weekend to be overrun with 5v5 madness in League of Legends, except, it's not the madness from your typical match. Riot has reinstated the One For All game mode back into League of Legends for a limited time.

If you're new to 'One For All,' it's a game mode that has each team picking one champion that the entire team gets to play as. For example, in One For All, one team could have five Nidalee's facing off against the other team that has five of some other champion.

Riot has added a new feature to the One For All game mode this year, mirror matches. In a mirror match all ten players become the same champion. There are two champions off limits in the entirety of One For All: Teemo and Karthus.

In our excitement to bring back our very first featured game mode, we forgot about the darkest timeline, where Teemo clones litter the rift with impassable mushroom fields and five Karthus Requiems rain sickly green death for a pentakill every three minutes. We’ve disabled both dark lords for the duration of One For All. We’re sorry for those of you who may have fallen victim to these eldritch forces before we could intervene (for those who wish to venture into the abyss, Teemo and Karthus are both still available in custom games).

As per Riot, here’s a list of the new faces to the One For All:

  • Kindred
  • Tahm Kench
  • Ekko
  • Bard
  • Rek’Sai
  • Kalista
  • Azir
  • Gnar

One For All will be available until October 26 at 2:00 AM PDT.
