The League of Legends All-Star Event took play this past weekend and perhaps the biggest highlight was the 1 vs. 1 semifinal between Froggen and Doublelift. Some times bad things happen and you die in League of Legends, but there's nothing like having the same thing happen in a rematch.
So this was the setting, Doublelift was up 1-0 and only needed one more win to advance to the finals, his semi-final match had him playing against Froggen. Doublelift chose to play as Twitch and Froggen chose Olaf.
Froggen decided that he wanted to use the Mark summoner spell, a spell that allows you to throw a snowball at your opponent. If the snowballs hits, you have the option to use the spell again to teleport to your opponent.
This was Froggen's downfall.
During the match, Froggen threw a snowball at Doublelift as he was recalling. The snowball landed, but didn't interrupt Doublelift's recall. Froggen then used the spell again, causing him to teleport to Doublelift who had recalled back to the spawning area… only to die.
In League there's one thing your learn quickly, when you're around the other teams Nexus… Don't stand on the spawn point. You'll die.
Unfortunately for Froggen, he died.
They say history repeats itself, especially if you don't learn from your mistakes. Froggen requested a rematch, used the snowball teleport again while Doublelift was recalling and died.
