League of Legends’ Snowdown 2014 holiday event begins next week

Gather your friends, League of Legends annual holiday Snowdown event is rapidly approaching. Developer Riot Games teased today Snowdown 2014, confirming it will run from December 16, 2014, through January 6, 2015.

Although no details have been shared just yet, you can expect the traditional goodies: holiday-themed skins, unique icons, and possibly even special temporary modes. Riot may even open up the vault, releasing skins of Snowdown past.

Last year, Riot released three holiday skins for champions: Snow Day Singed, Winter Wonder Lulu, and Snowstorm Sivir. They also launched the Snowdown Showdown, a special mode that allowed for 1v1 or 2v2 battles.

So as you can see, there's a lot to look forward to. Winter is coming, folks.
