League of Legends’ Ultra Rapid Fire mode is gone but not forgotten

Sometimes what starts as a glorious April’s Fool joke ends up being a fan favorite. Sort of like Urf the Manatee in League of Legends… Well continuing on with the Urf theme, Ultra Rapid Fire (URF) mode, ended today but it is NOT forgotten. Since fans liked it sooooo much (let’s be honest, it’s fun as hell), Riot is in talks about its future in their MOMA classic.

Similar to ARAM, Riot is looking at what the future of URF could be. At a different time this week, Riot will make an announcement on what their philosophy will be on featured game modes – you know, the modes that weren’t supposed to last forever. Look forward to this anouncemeent, I personally can’t wait to see what they have to say. Riot is pretty on top of listening to their community and if they are loving game modes… yes.
