League of Legends updated Summoner’s Rift beta expands

Beta for the new and improved remake/update to League of Legends' Summoner's Rift — the traditional 5v5 map — is expanding. Still in an open beta phase, the updated map is now available to play in Normals and Customs, as well as in Team Builder and Bots modes.

As a reminder, you can still earn the two exclusive new icons designed to commemorate the launch of the update to Summoner's Rift. The icons can be earned by simply winning a game on each side of the map. If you win on the red side, you get the red icon; if you win on the blue side, you get the blue icon.

Last week week, Riot Games provided some insight into the optimization of the new Summoner's Rift, emphasizing performance as one of the primary challenges. You can read more about the challenges they face in updating the map here.
