League of Legends’ updated Summoner’s Rift soon going to open beta

For quite some time now, the updated Summoner's Rift has been receiving tweaks and changes. Now, Riot Games has announced that they're almost ready to move onto the next phase of the updated Summoner's Rift: open beta.

When the 2014 season ends, Riot Games will be using a staggered rollout during preseason. Here are their stages for the rollout:

Stage 1: Team Builder and Intro Bot games

Stage 2: All normal modes, custom games, and all other bot modes

Stage 3: Ranked

Riot Games added that the rollout could take several weeks, and delays are possible if there are bugs or stability problems. The updated Summoner's Rift will eventually completely replace the current one, so you won't have separate queues to play on.
