Legendary Pokemon heading to Pokemon GO this Summer, Niantic teases

Legendary Pokemon in PokemonĀ GO. Where are they? Legend has it that Niantic is adding them to the game for the summer of 2017.

The Legendary birds are in the game, though exceptionally hard to find, and in an interview with Wired's German Division, Niantic CEO John Hanke said, "I can say with certainty that we will see more of that this year."

If global product marketing lead, Archit Bhargava's recent comments are accurate, "This summer will be legendary!" This comment was made at the 21st annual Webby Awards for Best Mobile game of 2017.

Considering the source and his position, it's a pretty solid assumption that legendaries will make it into the summer fun.
