Warner Bros. and TT Games have announced that LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will be coming to the Wii U spring 2013. Released back in June 2012, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes has already sold more than 3.4 million units worldwide. Now the Caped Crusader will make his Wii U debut.
When it comes to Wii U releases, the big standing question is of course: how will they make use of the GamePad controller? In this case, it's looking like the answer is: naturally and helpfully! In LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes you'll be able to navigate through Gotham City with an enhanced interactive map on the GamePad (natural). You'll also be able to use the touchscreen to assemble your team of powerful DC Comics heroes (natural/helpful). LEGO Batman 2 will also take advantage of the GamePad's off-TV mode. This means a second player can join in on the TV while you play on the GamePad screen, removing the annoying split screen experience (very helpful!). Or you can just play the game alone on the GamePad while your family enjoys the big screen.
LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is currently available for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and PC, as well as the Nintendo DS, 3DS, and Vita handhelds. Check out our review of the game here.
