LEGO Dimensions will feature 14 Adventure Worlds, free-roam environments separate from the main story that revolve around each of the entertainment properties kneaded into the game.
Adventure Worlds can be unlocked by any character from the same franchise, including those available in Level, Team and Fun Packs. The game’s starter kit will grant players immediate access to the DC Comics, Lord of the Rings and LEGO Movie Adventure Worlds by way of LEGO Batman, LEGO Gandalf and Wyldstyle, respectively.
Although Adventure Worlds can only be unlocked by a franchise-matching character, you can use any character in them. You might use Homer to open the Simpsons world, for example, but you could bring Batman into the world once it's been unlocked.
Ghost Busters has also been confirmed for LEGO Dimensions. A Level Pack featuring a LEGO Peter Venkman is the meat of the movie’s content, but Fun Packs with LEGO Stay Puft and LEGO Slimer figures will also be available.
