Fans eager to relive your favorite moments from the Jurassic Park franchise in LEGO form will soon be able to do so, as Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, The LEGO Group, and Universal Partnerships announced today that LEGO Jurassic World will launch on June 12, 2015.
Although titled LEGO Jurassic World, the game actually features storylines from all four films: Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III, as well as the highly anticipated Jurassic World, which hits theaters also on June 12, 2015. The stories and some of the films' iconic scenes and action sequences have been reimagined in LEGO form and are told in TT Games' classic LEGO humor.
As far as gameplay in concerned, you'll be able to collect precious amber, which contains dinosaur DNA to create and customize pieces. And, for the first time ever in a LEGO game, you'll be able to play as actual LEGO dinosaurs, including the ones seen in the the Jurassic film series. A new trailer today gives us our first look at some of that dino gameplay in action.
According to a press release, you'll be able to choose between more than 20 different kinds of playable dinosaurs, with even more making an appearance in the game.
LEGO Jurassic World will be available for PS4, PS3, Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, 3DS, and PC. It's available for pre-order now with exclusive gift-with-purchase items available at the following retailers while supplies last:
