Lego: The Hobbit’s Buddy Up trailer has a whole heist theme going on

I’ve never thought of it before, but the new Hobbit trilogy really does share several aspects with a typical “heist” genre. It’s a whole crew of individuals, mostly dwarves, with particular sets of skills to perform a specific task. I mean, after all, dragons do have a ton of gold. Sure the dwarves want their home back… but money is money.

In this new Buddy Up trailer, we see our beloved characters get nicknames for their tasks. Such names include ‘The King,’ ‘The Jumper,’ and ‘the Shooter.’ If we remember, Gandalf comes to Bilbo because he needs his sneakiness – the one thing the party doesn’t have. Check out the video above and prepare to play Lego: The Hobbit with pals.
