Sony has announced that on Monday, August 25, PlayStation Network will undergo maintenance as a series of back-end improvements to the network are deployed.
Maintenance will run from 9:40am to 4:50pm Pacific Time (12:40pm to 7:50pm Eastern Time). Of course, Sony notes that this is just an approximate 7-hour period. As we all know, PSN maintenance often extends beyond the scheduled time period.
If you've signed in to the network any time since August 20th, you should still be able to play games online and access partner apps like Netflix. The PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management will not be available during this time, however.
"We thank you for your patience and support and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause," Sony said.
