Liam Neeson to Retire From Action Films

Liam Neeson has announced his retirement from actions films. While he's a beloved action star with a cold, harsh demeanor, his opinion is that he's too old to keep doing them.

"They're still throwing serious money at me to do that stuff. I'm like: 'Guy's I'm sixty-f******-five.' Audiences are eventually going to go: 'Come on.'"

Neeson, unlike a number of other action stars, started his action roles when he was an older gentleman as opposed to aging through them. His first action hit was 2008's Taken, where he plays a former operative trying to save his daughter.

Since then, he's starred in a dozen action movies, even though, as he claims, his turn towards thriller/action movies was "all a pure accident." His last two action films will be Hard Powder and The Commuter. Then he plans to move on to other genres, such as his role in a Watergate drama called Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down The White House.
