Life is Strange dev’s Twin Mirror comes out this December

Developer Dontnod Entertainment has revealed the release date for their newest adventure title Twin Mirror. The supernatural adventure game is due out December 1st on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Check out the new trailer as well!

The talented people over at French development studio Dontnod are back at what they do best. Crafting captivating narrative-focused adventures with a touch of the supernatural. Similar to the studio’s breakout hit Life is Strange, Twin Mirror is set in the real world with believable characters and stories but it has a unique twist that elevates both the narrative and gameplay into fresh new heights.

Set in the small town of Basswood, the protagonist Sam Higgs uncovers a mystery while attending the funeral of his best friend, and starts off a chain of events that will take him on a journey through his own past and the dark history of his hometown.

Lose yourself in a rich, intricate storyline anchored in the gritty reality of small-town America. As his investigation progresses, Sam will uncover a web of intrigue that winds through Basswood’s evocative locations and draws in its colorful residents.

As a former investigative journalist, Sam once again has to utilize his unique skillset to piece together clues and unravel what really happened to his friend and much more. One particular skill of Sam is his ‘Mind Palace’ which allows him to visualize clues and thoughts, making the detective work much more palpable. But it’s anything but a walk in the park for Sam since his inner voice that aids him in his investigations not always has the best interest for even him.

Twin Mirror is promising a gripping and tense adventure where your choices actually matter but no decision is really wrong. Just what we have come to appreciate from the developer’s past titles. Going by the outstanding Life is Strange 2, we’re expecting to be blown away yet again.
