Fans looking to see how Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is shaping up can finally do so, as the game's demo will be available today on Xbox 360 (for Gold members) and PlayStation 3. Xbox LIVE Silver members will have access to the demo on January 28.
The demo will put you in control of Lightning as she traverses Ysunaan palace of her old ally, Snow. You'll experience Lightning's new customization options and demo the game's overhauled battle system. If you activate the Outerworld services and submit your battle scores of the final fight against Zaltys, the "Siegfried" outfit will become unlocked in the full retail game when it's released.
Additionally, anyone who downloads the demo on PSN will automatically receive the Utsusemi Garb DLC, which includes the Heavenly Fan weapon and the Kaminari shield item. The DLC will download with the demo and will be unlocked with the full game when it releases on February 11; for those who don't get the additional content for free, it'll be available for purchase later this year.
