Limbo-Inspired Indie Film Looks Awesome

Limbo is one of the most memorable games I've played in recent memory. Its haunting visual aesthetic, its discreet storytelling, and its wonderful puzzle platforming gameplay all combined to make Limbo an unforgettable game. Now an independent film company known as Samsquanch Films is working on a film that carries that same vibe.

The Tide is inspired by Limbo in both visual style and content, and it looks mighty impressive. The only issue is that the film makers seem to be struggling to make it. That's where we all come in.

If you've got a few extra coins in your pocket and would like to support the making of The Tide, you can do so on the film's Kickstarter page. As is the case with Kickstarter, you'll get different perks depending on how much you donate. Rewards range from a shout-out in the credits to a cool T-shirt to a snazzy oil painting based on the film.

Be sure to check out Samsquanch Films' video, which features scenes from the movie. The Tide is set to launch for free on YouTube, and I'm really stoked about it. If you loved Limbo, definitely watch out for this film.
