Limited Edition Destiny: The Taken King PS4 Bundle now available for pre-order

Sony's Limited Edition Destiny: The Taken King PS4 Bundle won't actually release until September when the expansion for Activision's multiplayer shooter launches, but today pre-orders for it have opened. As expected, the bundle is priced at $399.99.

As you can see from the images below, the highlight of the bundle is a specially designed white PlayStation 4 console (500GB), clearly inspired by Destiny. Also included is a physical copy of  Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition, which includes Destiny, the first two expansions (The Dark Below and House of Wolves), and The Taken King. You'll also get a free upgrade to the Digital Collector's Edition, which includes three exotic Guardian class items with XP bonuses, three class-specific emotes, three armor shaders, and the early access weapons pack.

Destiny released last September and over the course of the past year has undergone a tremendous amount of change. Though it's still primarily the same game, Bungie has worked hard with fans to provide updates that cater to player feedback. The expansion itself adds new story missions narratively driven by cinematic cutscenes, new weapons/armor, new enemies, an increased level cap, and new areas to explore.

Check out an overview of all the new content you can expect when The Taken King launches September 15th. Images of the Limited Edition PS4 can be seen below.
