Link Joins the Hunt in Monster Hunter XX, Custom Switch Theme Revealed

Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Version has released in Japan today, and as an exclusive Switch version, it gets some extra Nintendo affection. A new trailer shows elements of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in Monster Hunter XX.

The exclusive content includes Link's blue tunic, the traditional green hero tunic, Korok costumes and Zelda audio and music. The content is free and will release on September 1. Many Nintendo Switch versions of games have some sort of extra goodies included. The Switch version of Skyrim has a strikingly similar feature. Unfortunately, an American version of the game has not been announced.

Considering the popularity of Monster Hunter in Japan, it's no surprise that they have also manufactured a Monster Hunter XX themed Switch (pictured below).

While we may not be getting neither the game, nor the special console in the US, we are getting Monster Hunter: World which seems to be a very westernized version of the Monster Hunter series.
