Linkin Park to Collaborate with Namco Bandai for Gundam Game

In an interesting case of East meets West, Warner Music Japan has announced that the popular American rock band Linkin Park will be contributing a theme song for Namco Bandai’s arcade game “Kidou Senshi Gundam EXTREME VS.”

The song will be called “The Catalyst” and although fans may feel that it’s strange to see the Japanese developer featuring a song by an artist who isn’t Japanese, outside of fanmade AMVs, Linkin Park rapper Mike Shinoda is half Japanese if it makes it less weird for any fans. A special LE run of their album “A Thousand Suns” will be released on November 24 and it tentatively titled as the Gunpla 30th Anniversary Edition which will include a special Linkin Park Gundam plastic model.

A perfect fit if ever we saw one, and one that almost guarantees an American release when they decide to port the game to home consoles.
