Live-action Superhot parody, Superhawt, shows time powers aren’t bullet-proof

Missile-proof, technically

Superhot is a fairly simple game. It’s a first-person-shooter wherein anything red deserves a horrible death, guns are held together with masking tape and optimism, and time only moves when you move. That last bit is the core of the game’s puzzle-lite combat, which sees players dodge and slice bullets with an ease and grace that even Neo would envy.

Pretty powerful ability, right? It certainly works well in Superhot. But as the RocketJump YouTube team pointed out in a recent video, having time only move when you move might not be all it’s cracked up to be.

RocketJump’s aptly titled “Superhawt” parody chronicles the short-lived adventures of “a super hot dude with the ability to manipulate time.” Starring Jimmy Wong, AJ LoCascio, Riley Rose Critchlow, Eli Cuevas and Craig Blanchette, Superhawt channels a situation Superhot players know all too well: staring down heavy ordnance from a corner with no way out.

Oh, and if you’re wondering how Superhawt was made, have a look at the team's behind-the-scenes video.
