Locations for the next Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs 3 teased

It looks like we know now the exact settings for the next Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs 3. Ubisoft themselves teased as much in a new update for their other major game The Division 2. Kotaku reports that posters in The Division 2 seemingly depict a warrior. This warrior is holding what looks like an Apple of Eden, an important mythical artifact in the Assassin’s Creed lore. Furthermore, the poster has written “Valhalla” largely on it. Valhalla is an important place in Norse mythology where it harbors fallen warriors in the afterlife. This highly alludes to the idea that the sequel to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is going to be set in Norse mythology.

The poster can be found in the Potomac Event Center in The Divisions 2. So, if you want to check out the poster for yourself and you own the game, you can make your way to it and check it out. As noted by Kotaku, the person who originally realized that several of these Norse posters could be a hint by Ubisoft about the whereabouts of the next Assassin’s Creed is a YouTuber by the name of JorRaptor. You can watch his video below where he goes in detail about the location and all details in the poster.

Ubisoft famously declared the historic adventure-RPG franchise would take a one-year hiatus in 2019. So, it was especially nice that last year’s Odyssey turned out to be one of the better Assassin’s Creed games, that is still getting steady support in form of new content. Still, Two years is a long time to fulfill with updates and fans of Ubisoft’s addictive open-world game design could be looking at another franchise filling the gap this year.

Watch Dogs 3 isn’t announced officially but Kotaku’s Jason Shreier already confirmed not only its existence but also where the third entry in the modern-era stealth-action open-world game is supposedly going to take place. It’s London, the metropolitan capital of Great Britain. Now, this tease was long known after Ubisoft added a patch to Watch Dogs 2 two years ago but keeping Schreier’s solid sources in the industry in mind, it’s pretty much a lock.
