A few days ago, Logitech, one of the leading companies for gaming peripherals, announced the launch of its newest Logitech G mouse, the Logitech G502 Proteus Core Tunable Gaming Mouse. It's a mouthful to say, but the title is as long as the mouse is customizable… if that makes any sense…
The G502 features a 12,000 DPI sensor with advanced surface and weight tuning. That's about 6,000 more DPI than I play with, but I'm sure there's gamers out there — you know, ones better than myself — that are drooling at the mouth over a 12,000 DPI sensor. The sensor, combined with zero sensor acceleration, zero smoothing or filtering, and zero pixel rounding, so you're getting the best responsiveness that tracks movement at 300 inches per second.
With the proteus core, you can calibrate the G502's sensor to whatever gaming surface you are using it on. Even more, you can adjust the weight and center of balance with the mouse. This mouse is all about customization for the gamer, so 11 programmable controls – to set up one-button triggers, macros, push-to-talk and more – will give gamers plenty of options.
The Logitech G502 Proteus Core Tunable Gaming Mouse is available in the U.S. And Europe now for $79.99. For more information, visiting gaming.logitech.com.
