Lords of the Fallen developer teases unannounced action RPG

New game to be fully revealed at "a later date"

Deck13 Interactive, best known for Lords of the Fallen, and Focus Home Interactive have partnered together for a currently unannounced role-playing game that'll be officially revealed "at a later date."

"After our recent major project, the team at Deck13 is eager to take on the next challenge. We have learned a lot and want to deliver an even greater experience to core gamers this time," said Jan Klose, Deck13 Interactive's CEO and Creative Director.

The game, which is set in a dystophian sci-fi future, looks pretty gritty from the sole teaser image they published alongside their press release. The image is a bit dark, but when lightened up reveals that the weapon the man is holding is in fact a chainsaw-thing and not a gun. I'd like to point out the Matrix like plug in the back of his head (along with the mechanical exo-skeletan). It will be interesting to see what the future holds for this game, perhaps upgrades to your character will be downloaded directly into your character's brain or that's the plug that keeps your suit responsive. Who knows!

Though details are scarce, it is said that the game will feature "innovative combat mechanics and an original character progression system based on modular upgrades gained through tight, visceral combat."

The unannounced RPG is expected to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox one and PC in 2017, but hopefully we'll hear more at E3 next week.
