Lords of the Fallen on iOS, Android not a port, it’s ‘brand new’

Not too long ago, we caught wind that the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC RPG game, Lords of the Fallen, is headed to iOS and Android devices.

The first thought upon hearing the news was, how exactly would this huge tough game port to mobile devices? The answer is that it will not be porting to them, the mobile Lords of the Fallen will be a brand new game.

The news of this game not being a port comes to us from the CI Games CEO, Marek Tyminski:

"We're currently working on a mobile game that takes place in the Lords of the Fallen universe, which we're aiming to launch on iOS and Android in 2015. It will not be a straight port of the game though, but rather a brand new Lords of the Fallen experience. More details on that are still to come."

A full new mobile game, as opposed to a port, sparks curiosity, will the mobile game tie directly into the current story or will it serve as a side story? Tyminski's statement on the development of the mobile game was nestled in the end of his confirmation that a sequel to Lords of the Fallen is in production for PC, PS4, and Xbox One:

"I can confirm that the statements made recently to the local Polish media at a press conference earlier this week in Warsaw, and mentioned on Facebook by Executive Producer Tomasz Gop, are true: a Lords of the Fallen sequel is currently in development for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The reaction from fans to the news has been tremendous so far, and we're eager to take on the challenge of improving upon the solid experience that has been created with Lords of The Fallen.

What do you think about the two announcements?
