October is shaping up to be quite a busy month as City Interactive today announced that its upcoming action RPG Lords of the Fallen will be released on October 28 in the U.S. It'll be available a few days later on October 31 in Europe.
Lords of the Fallen follows the adventure of Harkyn, a convicted criminal, with a chance for redemption. Released from prison, Harkyn sets out to stop a war when an army of the long-ago defeated god returns to attack mankind.
I first played Lords of the Fallen at E3 last month and, well, I died a lot. For those who have played Dark Souls, you'll probably feel right at home with it, though I do think it plays faster than the Souls games.
Lords of the Fallen now joins Sunset Overdrive, Assassin's Creed Unity, Evolve, Battlefield: Hardline, and Alien: Isolation, and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor as games releasing in October. You know what's bad (but in a good way) — these aren't even all of the games releasing in October. I hope your wallet is recovered from the Steam Sale because you're about to spend a lot of money.
