Lost Planet 3 quietly gets delayed

***Update***

Capcom has responded to our enquiry and has told us why they decided to delay Lost Planet 3.

***Original Story***

Lost Planet 3 has been delayed until August. Capcom quietly snuck the new date in at the end of a very long press release detailing its lineup for the next few months. The new release dates for Lost Planet 3 are August 27 in North America and August 30 in Europe.

This is a nearly two-month delay from the previously known launch date of June 25 (North America). Capcom didn't offer any explanation for the delay, but we've reached out to them for clarification. We'll be sure to keep you updated once we hear back. It's still due out on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
