Ladies and Gentleman, Asgard has a new villain. In addition to Christopher Eccelston's main villain Malekith the Accursed and Tom Hiddleston's Loki, Thor will have to face off against Algrim the Strong. Algrim the Strong will be played by former LOST star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, [SPOILERS AHEAD] who will be playing two versions of the same character.
Algrim the Strong is the most powerful among the Dark Elves that Thor (Chris Hemsworth) will be battling. In the comics, Algrim is convinced to battle thor by Malekith, who later betrays and injures him. Algrim heals and transforms into a powerful being called Kurse. It just so happens that Kurse is twice as strong as Thor… so have fun battling him with your little hammer you crazy god you.
In addition to the previous mentioned actors, Thor: The Dark World also stars Kat Dennings, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo, Stellan Skarsgard, Idris Elba, Ray Stevenson and Zachary Levi. Thor: The Dark World is set to open on November 8, 2013.
