On Nintendo's page for Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, it was quietly updated that the game would feature a brand-new local multiplayer mode, though it doesn't say what that multiplayer mode is. Dark Moon is the upcoming 3DS sequel to Luigi's Mansion and was announced in 2011. In the game, Luigi visits haunted mansions, solving puzzles and vacuuming up ghosts using your Poltergust 5000.
It is set to release in North America in March of 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS.
