Lynda Carter joins the cast of CW’s Supergirl

Lynda Carter will make her return to DC Comics television as the US President on the CW's Supergirl.

With the salvation of CBS's Supergirl series through its move to the CW network, it became necessary to appease the fans in order to keep the show going by any means possible. This meant bringing some new blood into the fold. It was recently announced that they had just cast Tyler Hoechlin to play Kara/Supergirl's cousin, Clark Kent/Superman.

The number of new additions to the cast list just keep growing. It was just revealed that former 70's Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, will be returning to her DC television roots for 'Supergirl', not as Wonder Woman, but as the President of the United States. Carter has been brought back to make cameos before due to her heroic lineage, once on the CW's Superman prequel series, 'Smallville', as Moira Sullivan, and in Disney's 2005 super-powered teen comedy, 'Sky High', as Principal Powers.
