Mad Max sequel titled; not confirmed but probably coming

Go. See. The. Movie.

Mad Max: Fury Road brought in around $110 million worldwide on its opening weekend. In North America, it landed second in the box office (behind Pitch Perfect 2). With such an impressive opening weekend, it would be silly to think that there wouldn't be more Mad Max films in the works.

In the beginning of April, the Mad Max: Fury Road star Tom Hardy revealed that it was "a business" and depending on how the film did in the box office, we could see more films in the series. Lo and behold, the movie impressed enough people to warrant more films.

Hardy revealed that he had signed up for three Mad Max films, and we are officially on our way to see the contract fulfilled.

Director George Miller took to Twitter and revealed that there was "more Max to come." Unfortunately, the account was unverified and has since been suspended by Twitter. Whether or not this was an announcement from the true Miller or not is still in question. The tweet certainly falls in line with Miller's comments in a recent podcast with Jeff Goldsmith, where Miller revealed the name of the film's sequel — Mad Max: The Wasteland.
