Mad Catz – a company well known solely for manufacturing peripherals like controllers, faceplates, headsets, etc. – has inched their way into the publishing scene this year with the title War Wings: Hell Catz. Today, though, the company has inked a major contract with Harmonix to rerelease Rock Band 3.
This fall the publisher will bundle the hit music game with Mad Catz peripherals. These include the Rock Band 3 Wireless Keyboard Controller, the Wireless Fender Stratocaste Guitar Controller, and the Wireless Fender Mustang Pro-Guitar Controller. While Mad Catz denied to comment on the acquisition, they did add that there are “no plans to publish the game as a standalone product.”
