Next week, football fans will be able to demo Madden NFL 13. Less than a month away from its August 28 release, the demo for Madden NFL 13 will be available as a free download on Tuesday, August 14.
The demo will give long time fans of the series a look at the Infinity Engine, the all-new real time physics engine, and a sneak peek at a couple of home, away, and throwback Nike uniforms.
The Madden NFL 13 demo will offer two Play Now matchups, neither of which is a Super Bowl XLVI rematch between the Giants and Patriots. Instead fans can take the field in a rematch of last season's NFC Championship game between the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers or get their first chance to play as rookie QB Robert Griffin II in a game that involves the Washington Redskins vs the Seattle Seahawks.
The demo will include the redesigned pregame presentation which includes a broadcast TV-inspired segment that features some top players in the upcoming game you're about to play, followed by Jim Nantz and Phil Simms in the booth talking about the story of the game.
As for gameplay, the demo will have everything that's new in Madden NFL 13 including Total Control Passing; the Ball Hawk mechanic, play action abort, use of Kinect functionality on Xbox 360 only, and the Infinity Engine. The demo is an entire game with 5 minute quarters, and you can choose difficulty, EA explained.
You can even win a free copy of Madden NFL 13 by completing a demo game and sharing the results (from the end of game menu) across Twitter with the hashtag #Madden13Demo. A winner will be selected every day to take home a VIP edition of Madden NFL 13 complete with some bonus contents.
Madden NFL 13 Game Face will also be accessible in the demo allowing you to create yourself for use in the full version of the game when it releases later this month. For the first time, you'll be able to put yourself in the game as a player or coach using your Game Face.
Other features in the demo include the new Main Menu Action Grid, new theme music, improved lighting with HDR, motion blur, and an instant replay overhaul.
If you haven't yet seen it, you can view the overall ratings for all of the QBs and RBs in Madden NFL 13.
