Madden NFL 15’s Week 3 Roster Update: Seattle Seahawks are your biggest losers

Was Richard Sherman and the rest of the Seattle Seahawks Legion of Boom exposed last Sunday when Philip Rivers and the Chargers picked apart that vaunted defense? 284 yards and three touchdowns by an aging Antonio Gates certainly suggests so, and it appears EA has reacted accordingly.

Headlining the Madden NFL 15 week three roster update is a drop to various members of the Legion of Boom, including Richard Sherman who sees his Man Coverage Rating (MCV) drop a point to 97. Meanwhile, Kam Chancellor also suffered a one point drop in Man Coverage and a two point drop in Zone Coverage. Donny Moore wasn’t too harsh with them, all things considered, but should the Legion of Boom really have been lowered after just one poor outing?

Other notable rating changes in this week’s Madden NFL 15 include:

Biggest Winners

  • Ryan Kerrigan – OLB – WAS (+3 to 89 OVR)
  • Kyle Fuller – CB – CHI (+3, now 78 OVR)
  • Philip Rivers – QB – SD (+1, now 92 OVR)

Biggest Losers

  • Matt Kalil – OT – MIN (-4, now 76 OVR)
  • Malcolm Smith – OLB – SEA (-3, now 78 OVR)
  • Josh McCown – QB – TB (-1, now 80 OVR)

You can find the full list of player rating changes for the week 3 roster update here. On a side note, I can’t wait to see how far the Buccaneers fall after last night’s despicable showing.
