The Madden NFL 15 week two roster update released yesterday, bringing tons of player rating changes based on last week's games. If you watched week one's games then you probably have a good feel for who felt Rating Czar Donny Moore's wrath. If you missed them, sit down, because this might be a bit of a shock.
In total, more than 750 player ratings have been changed, with over 300 players having had their equipment updated. Perhaps the most notable change, however, is the removal of disgraced Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice who was cut from the team and suspended indefinitely by the NFL as a result of released video footage from the hotel casino elevator where he punched and knocked out his then-fiance fiancée.
While the entire list of player changes can be found here, EA has done us a favor by highlighting the most noteworthy.
For starters, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is one of the week's biggest losers following his abysmal performance against the 49ers where he threw three interceptions in a season-opening loss. As a result, Romo's player rating dropped 3 points with decreases in Awareness (-6) and Throw Accuracy (-3). As a Cowboys fan who watched the game, this is deserved. He looked awful.
Meanwhile, the three biggest winners, with the largest increase are Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Hurns (+7, now 73 Overall), Carolina Panthers WR Kelvin Benjamin (+4, now 78 Overall), and Tennessee Titans LB Derrick Morgan (+4, now 83 Overall).
The biggest losers are Baltimore Ravens RB Bernard Pierce (-3, now 76 Overall), Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo (-3, now 87 Overall), and Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (-2, now 91 Overall).
