***Original***
The official Madden NFL 15 week two roster update has been released, bringing over 750 player rating changes based on last week's performance. Additionally, over 300 players have had their equipment updated since they were based on pre-season and week one.
EA hasn't released any sort of spreadsheet detailing the changes for everyone, but earlier this week Madden Rating Czar Donny Moore said "big rating increases" were coming to some of week one's biggest headliners: Julius Thomas (Denver Broncos TE), Allen Hurns (Jacksonville Jaguars WR), Derrick Morgan (Tennessee Titans LB), and LeVeon Bell (Pittsburgh Steelers RB). We've reached out to Moore to see if there are any plans to post more in-depth changes.
Another major change we can confirm is the removal of Ray Rice from the game completely. Following the release of the casino video where Rice punched his now-wife, Janaye, and knocked her unconscious, the NFL suspended the disgraced running back indefinitely while the Baltimore Ravens cut him from the team. EA, in turn, decided to flat out remove him from the game meaning you won't even find him in free agency. He's not the first player to be removed from the game, but he is the first to have had this done without legal action from police or law enforcement. Should Rice be allowed to play again this season — or ever for that matter — it's unclear if EA will add him back into the game.
We'll keep an eye out for any news regarding other player rating changes as a result of today's update. What do you think of the ones mentioned above, though?
