Mafia 3 is getting ripped apart across social media

Mafia 3 has been a highly anticipated game ever since players played the second game in 2010. There was little to no talk on a sequel from 2K for nearly half a decade, making players wonder if the series was dead. Then, last summer 2K came out of nowhere and announced a sequel that would be developed by a brand new studio, Hanger 13. 2K revealed that the game was set in the '60s and featured a black protagonist who had returned from Vietnam. Many people's excitement for the game was through the roof, and it became one of the most anticipated games of 2016 and yesterday, it finally released.

After an announcement that press wouldn't receive early review copies for Mafia 3, people began to worry that the game was in a poor state and 2K didn't want to let anyone see it and give negative impressions prior to release. Some said there's nothing to worry about as games like Doom did the same thing and turned out fantastic! Well, it appears that the first reason may have been correct.

Mafia 3 is being received pretty negatively across social media right now due to its technical issues across all platforms. The PC version only runs at 30 FPS (although that is set to change soon), the game features a plethora of bugs such as janky animations, players falling through the ground, and glitchy combat. People have even posted compilation videos of all the glitches they've encountered in the last 24 hours alone!

You can view some of the reactions from people below. GameZone's review for Mafia 3 will also be up sometime this coming week.
