Mafia 3 release date rumors surface before trailer reveal

Earlier today, we reported that Mafia 3 will be getting a brand new trailer that gives us more insight into the story. It wasn't confirmed, but it's a safe bet that a release date will be revealed in the trailer as well. Lucky for you, you don't have to wait until tomorrow to find out when the game will probably release.

Notorious industry insider Wario64 has teased on Twitter that the organized crime third-person shooter will be releasing in October of this year. To be a bit more specific, Wario64 detailed the game will release before Gears of War 4 which releases October 11th. Which means the game could launch on October 4th if it launches on the traditional Tuesday date.

Additionally, a Sweedish retailer had listed the game to release on September 3rd, then changed it to September 9th.

At the moment these are all rumors so check back tomorrow when the trailer releases at 8AM eastern where the official date will more than likely be revealed.
