Magearna to make debut in Pokemon Sun & Moon

So, it's official. Pokemon fans will be able to catch and play with Magearna in the upcoming Pokemon Sun & Moon games!

This news follows on from months of speculation, mostly sparked by Japanese posters and trailers, regarding Magearna's imminent arrival.

The Pokemon Company International has revealed that Magearna will be very much unlike any other Pokemon that we have come across thus far, as it has a new ability. Magearna has an ability called Soul-Heart, which was supposedly created using the life of other Pokemon.

In terms of Pokemon Sun & Moon, this ability will allow Magearna's Special Attack by one. Also, Magearna will be able to not only perceive the thoughts of other Pokemon, but replicate their emotions and feelings as well – which, when combined with its special ability, might well give it the upper-hand in battle.

Gamers will have seen many mystical and unusual Pokemon in their time, but this is surely one of the most dynamic additions the series has to offer.

Whether you're going to hunt down Solgaleo on Pokemon Sun or search for Lunaala on Pokemon Moon when it releases for Nintendo 3DS this November, one thing is for certain, you'll have to look out for Magearna!
