The Xbox One version of Magic 2015 – Duels of the Planeswalkers has been delayed, Wizards of the Coast associate community manager Sean Gibbons confirmed today. Gibbons couldn't give an exact release date, but did say it should arrive later this summer. It was originally due out today.
"Due to unforseen challenges, the Xbox One version will be launching later this summer," Gibbons said. "We're excited and looking forward to bringing an excellent Magic experience to this next-gen platform and we appreciate your patience leading up to the release."
The good news is that the game is still on track to release for all other platforms. Magic 2015 – Duels of the Planeswalkers releases today for PC (Steam), Xbox 360, and Android Tablets (Google Play and Amazon Store). The iPad version was released last week.
Magic 2015 – Duels of the Planeswalkers is the first version in the franchise to release on a next-gen console. It's said to take gameplay to "a whole new level, deeply engaging fans like never before." New features include the ability to build customized decks, new boost packs with premium DLC, and an even more robust deck builder. You'll surely need all of these tools to take on the deadliest hunter in the Magic Multiverse — Garruk Wildspeaker — as he turns his instincts away from beasts of the wild to a new quarry, you.
