Maleficent and Merida (Brave) in Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes 2.0?

Disney showed off the future of Disney Infinity yesterday with the announcement of Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes 2.0. I'm not going to delve into the details about the game (you can do so with that link I put in), but I am going to discuss some characters I noticed in the announcement trailer.

We already know that the game will come with Iron Man, Thor and Black Widow, and that the initial round of figures will include Captain America, The Hulk and Hawkeye. But here's some other characters that were present in the trailer and are probably coming to the game.

The first two are Maleficent (who has a movie coming out starring Angelina Jolie) and Merida from Brave. You really have to look to noticed them in the trailer, as it's a really quick shot and they're in the background. Merida is on the boat, and Maleficent is standing behind the tree with the purple leaves.

The next character that's not already in the game is Stitch. While I really want Stitch in the game, I'm not as confident that he'll be a figure because he's already been in some Disney Infinity trailer in the past.

Since the Avengers are all the rage nowadays, it makes sense that Disney would include some playable villains in the game. Loki and M.O.D.O.K. are shown walking together, and while I'm sure you'll battle them, it wouldn't surprise me if you could buy them in the future just like Captain Barbosa and Syndrome.

With Guardians of the Galaxy releasing in theaters this summer, it was awesome seeing Rocket Raccoon and Groot in the trailer, and I'm sure that those figures will be available for purchase eventually. Otherwise, why tease them?

Lastly, the trailer closes out with Spider-Man swinging by. I'm sure he's the character most wanted outside of the Avengers, and Disney will deliver.

Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes 2.0 is releasing this fall on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U. What do you think about the announcement and the characters coming? Who else do you want to see brought to the Disney Infinity universe? Make sure to leave a comment below and check out the 35 things we would love to come to Disney Infinity.
