The United States Secret Service has done the unthinkable twice now, actually caught Pikachu. Team Rocket never managed to get the electric mouse into their hands for too long, thanks to some meddling kids, but Secret Service has proved that they are indeed the very best – like no Team Rocket ever was.
Earlier this week, a 36-year-old man named Curtis Combs decided that scaling the fence around the White House and filming himself running across the lawn dressed as Pikachu was the best way to become YouTube famous.
According to reports, Combs told officers he was unarmed before climbing a fence (which happen to read 'Restricted Area') and jumping onto the White House lawn. He was told to stop on multiple accounts. Once apprehended, Combs told Secret Service that he wanted to become famous by jumping the White House fence in a Pikachu outfit and posting it on YouTube.
He noted that he could not complete the video because of the "quick response" from officers. Combs has pleaded not guilty to the charge of lawful entry and will be heading to court on November 9th.
Just two years ago, Secret Service caught its first Pikachu, 26-year-old Jeffrey Grossman.
