In the name of "art," Kenny Irwin, known as perfectlymadebirds on eBay, has microwaved a New Nintendo 3DS XL Majora's Mask Edition — you know, the extremely limited special edition New Nintendo 3DS XL that's sold out everywhere. Yeah, he got one and microwaved it, and is now trying to sell it on eBay for $11,315.00. Don't worry, it comes with a taxidermied toad and an eyeball.
Now it's interesting to note that Irwin listed the product as "Seller refurbished," which is obvious considering that he altered it by putting it in a freaking mircrowave!
I understand doing things in the name of art, but come on! It was a perfect Majora's Mask 3DS! Irwin argues that the exclusive New Nintendo 3DS is 'even more rare' after its demise:
"Microwaved Nintendo New 3DS XL Majora's Mask Gold super rare edition, and even more rare now that it has been professionally microwaved … It's the world's only Microwaved 3DS XL you cannot live without. Keep in mind this item is called the "NEW 3DS XL" By Nintendo, just released this last weekend in the US. It was microwaved right out of the factory box brand new. The buyer recieve it profressionally microwaved. Titled "Super Majora Mario Toad"
What a slogan: It's the world's only Microwaved 3DS XL you cannot live without (I'm crying inside).
What do you get if you purchase this (besides that once beautiful, now dead New Nintendo 3DS XL Majora's Mask Edition and toad)? You get the box it came in, the included documents and accessories.
No AC adapter and definitely not the spatula he uses in the video below to complete the destruction of the once perfect 3DS.
