Mariah Carey joins The Lego Batman Movie, but not as Comissioner Gordon

It seems we've got some mixed reports today about the role Mariah Carey has been cast for in The Lego Batman Movie.

Earlier today, Deadline reported the singer/actress would voice Commissioner Gordon, and odd casting considering Commissioner Gordon is, well, a man. But it's a LEGO movie, so anything is possible.

Turns out, though, that report was wrong. The Hollywood Reporter claims Carey will instead voice the mayor of Gotham City in the film.

Carey joins a star-studded cast for The Lego Batman Movie which includes Rosario Dawson (Batgirl), Michael Cera (Robin), Zach Galifianakis (Joker), and Ralph Fiennes (Alfred). Will Arnett, who voiced the Dark Knight in 2014's The Lego Movie, will return to voice Batman.

The Lego Batman Movie is set to hit theaters on February 10, 2017.
